Most Rosemary is propagated by cuttings taken from a mother plant so they stay true to type. Common Rosemary is easily grown from seed, so we offer it here. It is an upright type that grows 2 to 4 feet tall and bears delicate light blue flowers in summer.
The strength of the flavor and perfume seems to be determined by the amount of sun the plant receives and the sweetness of the soil. Therefore it is best to plant in full sun and limey soil. You may harvest the leaves of rosemary for use any time of the year.
